Income inequality for older people - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Germany's income inequality for older people decreased by 1.5% compared to 2023, reaching 7.72.

Germany accounts for 93.9% of the EU-27 total of 8.22.

Germany ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 16.8% (from 9.28 in 2019).
