Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Germany's unemployment by sex and age increased by 29.5% compared to 2019, reaching 7.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Germany ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.6% (from 7.7% in 2015).
