Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Austria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 28.6% compared to 2019, reaching 11.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Austria ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 11.3% in 2015).
