In 2024, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 2023, reaching 17.4%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.3%.
Hungary ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.3% (from 18.0% in 2019).
