Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2004, Hungary's population change increased by 1.1% compared to 2003, reaching 9.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Hungary ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 9.2 in 1999).
