Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2004, Slovakia's population change increased by 4.2% compared to 2003, reaching 10.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Slovakia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 10.4 in 1999).
