Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2006, Hungary's population change increased by 2.1% compared to 2005, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.3.

Hungary ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.2% (from 9.5 in 2001).
