Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2007, Hungary's population change decreased by 2.0% compared to 2006, reaching 9.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 9.5 in 2002).
