Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Romania's main indicators increased by 12.4% compared to 2015, reaching 6.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Romania ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.5% (from 5.5% in 2011).
