At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2004, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.0% compared to 2003, reaching 20.9%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.0% (from 19.0% in 1999).
