At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.7% compared to 2023, reaching 15.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Ireland ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.6% (from 16.7% in 2019).
