At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.1% compared to 2023, reaching 23.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Italy ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.3% (from 24.5% in 2019).
