At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 11.9% compared to 2024, reaching 16.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.2% (from 14.8% in 2020).
