At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 34.6% compared to 2021, reaching 24.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Ireland ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 62.8% (from 14.8% in 2017).
