At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.4% compared to 2021, reaching 21.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Cyprus ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 21.6% in 2017).
