In 2020, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.5% compared to 2019, reaching 13.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.9% (from 16.1% in 2015).
