At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.5% compared to 2020, reaching 13.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.9% (from 17.5% in 2016).
