At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.8% compared to 2008, reaching 14.9%.

Ireland ranks 11th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.7% (from 18.8% in 2004).
