At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.0% compared to 2009, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.7%.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.8% (from 18.9% in 2005).
