At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.5% compared to 2018, reaching 13.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.9%.

Ireland ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.4% (from 16.5% in 2014).
