In 2024, Ireland's early leavers from education and training by labour status decreased by 30.0% compared to 2023, reaching 2.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.4%.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 45.1% (from 5.1% in 2019).
