Population structure indicators at national level

In 2005, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.6% compared to 2004, reaching 33.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.6.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.4% (from 32.4 in 2000).
