Population structure indicators at national level

In 2007, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 0.6% compared to 2006, reaching 33.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.3.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 32.8 in 2002).
