Population structure indicators at national level

In 2008, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.3% compared to 2007, reaching 33.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.6.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.2% (from 33.0 in 2003).
