Population structure indicators at national level

In 2018, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2017, reaching 37.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 43.5.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.4% (from 35.4 in 2013).
