Population structure indicators at national level

In 2020, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.5% compared to 2019, reaching 24.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.8.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.4% (from 21.8 in 2015).
