Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.7% compared to 2018, reaching 23.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.3% (from 21.1 in 2014).
