Population structure indicators at national level

In 2023, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.2% compared to 2022, reaching 25.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.4.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.8% (from 23.5 in 2018).
