Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2014, Ireland's main indicators increased by 13.2% compared to 2013, reaching 8.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 62.4% (from 5.2% in 2009).
