Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Ireland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 14.2% compared to 2019, reaching 10.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.3%.

Ireland ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 71.4% (from 5.9% in 2015).
