In 2023, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 1.5% compared to 2022, reaching 54.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 35.1%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.2% (from 46.9% in 2018).
