Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2020, Ireland's employment rates by educational attainment level decreased by 1.3% compared to 2019, reaching 84.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 85.4%.

Ireland ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.4% (from 82.5% in 2015).
