Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2021, Ireland's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 1.3% compared to 2020, reaching 85.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.5%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.3% (from 82.9% in 2016).
