Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2014, Ireland's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 12.4% compared to 2013, reaching 23.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 24.1%.

Ireland ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.5% (from 24.5% in 2009).
