At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.3% compared to 2021, reaching 25.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Italy ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 26.4% in 2017).
