At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.9% compared to 2017, reaching 15.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Italy ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.0% (from 15.0% in 2013).
