At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2009, reaching 17.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.7%.

Italy ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.7% (from 17.6% in 2005).
