Employment rates by citizenship

In 2021, Italy's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.1% compared to 2020, reaching 67.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 73.3%.

Italy ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.9% (from 66.5% in 2016).
