Fertility indicators

In 1995, Italy's fertility indicators decreased by 1.7% compared to 1994, reaching 1.19.

Italy ranks 22nd out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.5% (from 1.33 in 1990).
