Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2017, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.3% compared to 2016, reaching 34.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 31.1%.

Italy ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.4% (from 27.4% in 2012).
