Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Italy's main indicators increased by 1.7% compared to 2015, reaching 34.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Italy ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 44.4% (from 23.5% in 2011).
