Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2018, Italy's main indicators decreased by 0.5% compared to 2017, reaching 33.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 32.1%.

Italy ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.4% (from 31.3% in 2013).
