In 2005, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex stood at 21.1%.

Latvia ranks 9th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 251.7% (from 6.0% in 2000).
