At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 63.9% compared to 2009, reaching 17.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Latvia ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.5% (from 21.1% in 2005).
