In 2005, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex stood at 20.3%.

Latvia ranks 6th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.9% (from 16.0% in 2000).
