In 2014, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 0.2% compared to 2013, reaching 20,578.

Latvia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 29.4% (from 29,163 in 2009).
