Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2016, Latvia's population change increased by 1.4% compared to 2015, reaching 14.6.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.0% (from 13.9 in 2011).
