Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2017, Latvia's population change increased by 1.4% compared to 2016, reaching 14.8.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 14.3 in 2012).
