In 2013, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.3% compared to 2012, reaching 955.

Latvia ranks 25th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 66.1% (from 2,817 in 2008).
