In 2014, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 35.9% compared to 2013, reaching 612.

Latvia ranks 25th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 78.7% (from 2,876 in 2009).
